BESPOKE COMMEMORATIVE POTTERY
Whether to mark a christening, or other special event, hand-painted pottery is a wonderful and lasting memento.
The Commemorative Gallery has examples of house plaques, bowls and dishes, all individually designed and hand-made by Andrew Hazelden.
Prices start at £120 for a 7” plate featuring two names, a date and a standard design. Other designs available.
FONT BOWLS
Andrew has recently designed several hand thrown and brush painted font bowls, using tin glazed earthenware for Churches in Oxfordshire and Berkshire.
Members of a congregation may wish to leave a memorial to a loved one or to celebrate a special event. Commissioning a bespoke ceramic font bowl is ideal way of doing this.
“The new font bowl at Yarnton Church celebrates the way water symbolises our spiritual life. The Church commissioned the potter Andrew Hazelden to make the font bowl. The Reverend Nathan Jarvis said, ‘We knew instantly that he was the right person for the job. As an iconographer writes an icon, so Andrew prays through whatever he is creating. We think the result is wonderful. ”
